Beginner's Pottery Wheel Throwing Course

In this class, students will learn how to create basic ceramic forms on the pottery wheel. Mugs, vases, bowls, handles, glazing, form, function, and design are a few topics we will cover in this relaxed eight-week course. Lessons will be designed for beginners and tailored towards individuals and their goals. Students will have additional opportunities to practice their skills by attending open studios throughout the week during the course.

Intermediate Pottery Wheel Throwing Course

In this more advanced class, students will be introduced to functional lidded vessels (such as teapots and french presses) and work on honing the skills learned in our beginner course. This class is reserved for students that have previously joined us for one of our beginner courses, or have prior ceramic experience. You will be expected to be comfortable with centering clay on the wheel, pulling up your walls, and the basics of shaping. Students will have additional opportunities to practice their skills by attending open studios throughout the week during the course.
