Mugs, vases, bowls, handles, glazing, form, function, and design are a few topics we will cover in this relaxed eight-week course. Lessons will be designed for beginners and tailored towards individuals and their goals. Students will have additional opportunities to practice their skills by attending open studios throughout the week during the course.

This advanced wheel-throwing class is designed for experienced potters looking to refine their skills and push the boundaries of their creativity. Over eight weeks, you’ll dive into complex forms, including large vessels, lidded forms, and multi-part pieces. We’ll focus on advanced techniques like altering forms on the wheel, refining wall thickness, mastering symmetry, and creating cohesive sets. This course encourages experimentation and personal expression, with individualized guidance to help you achieve your artistic goals. Access to open studio time throughout the week will allow you to practice and perfect your techniques.
In this workshop, we will explore post-firing reduction and saggar firing in a propane kiln. Both of these firings create unique and interesting surface through a hands-on process.
