Spin, shape, and discover the joy of clay in this 8-week introduction to wheel throwing! Our amazing instructors will guide you step-by-step as you learn to create mugs, vases, and bowls—plus handles, glazing, and all the essentials of form, function, and design. Each lesson is tailored to your pace and goals, so you’ll feel supported (and have fun!) from your very first throw. Your class includes open studio time to practice what you’ve learned and keep those creative wheels turning.
Next Class starts October 21st
A clay study of the anatomy of the male and female skull, facial features, and creation of a bust. This course goes over basic armature creation, the use of modeling, carving and caliper tools, and the use of underglazes, oxides and glazes to finish sculptural pieces.
Course includes all clay, materials, and firings used during class time. The course also includes 16 hours of open studio to work on your pieces. Additional clay used in open studio must be purchased separately

Wetlock is a wheel-throwing method developed by ceramic artist Khalil Jannah for creating advanced forms at any scale, from small vessels to architectural-scale work. This three-day intensive introduces the method through demonstration, hands-on instruction, visual references, and brief technical lectures. Participants will learn Wetlock joining, compression, structural control, and techniques for building complex forms while the clay remains workable. The workshop focuses on adapting the system to each participant’s own forms, scale, and architectural applications. Intermediate to advanced wheel-throwing experience is recommended. Participants will leave with the technical foundation to continue developing with Wetlock independently.
All materials and supplies are included. The class is structured to learn the technique and the clay is reclaimed at the end of the class.
Class requires 6 participants to run. Additional times may be added if there is a waitlist.

Each class will begin with a fun skill-building warm-up to strengthen technique, followed by demos designed to increase your abilities, from making matching sets to diagnosing common glaze issues.
Join us for a Clay Date Class. This two hour wheel throwing class is designed for beginners. We will walk you through the process of making your first pieces of pottery on the wheel. Before you leave, you select the glaze that will go on the piece. We take care of firings and glazing, and your work will be ready to pick up 4 weeks from the day of the class.
